About this Role
We are looking for someone who thrives on helping mission driven organizations get, grow and keep top talent. You will be successful in this role if you are people focused and are always looking for ways to improve talent operations while providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who will see their role as an ambassador of FIRST and who believes deeply in providing prospective and existing employees with a positive experience that reinforces our culture, brand and values.
As the Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist you will be responsible for helping to develop and execute a recruitment strategy that finds and attracts passionate, mission driven professionals to the FIRST team. This position will partner with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and then execute a recruitment and selection process that effectively identifies quality candidates by focusing on skills, competencies, qualifications and culture fit while also mitigating against implicit biases. Because we know it is not enough to get great people in the door, we are also looking for someone who loves to coach, train, and mentor staff to reach their full potential. You will help assess current talent needs, identify training opportunities to close skill gaps, and develop and deliver internal training to support the organization.
In return, we promise a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where you will be part of a team that cares about each other and thrives on each other’s successes. You’ll feel good about the future of the world after doing hard work with all the talented people at FIRST and will have a front row seat to our life changing programs.
