About this Role

We are seeking a Program Coordinator to support the FIRST LEGO® League Jr., FIRST LEGO® League Program and Innovation programming with a complete array of administrative and event support services.  The ideal candidate is known for being an excellent communicator who is proactive, detail oriented and approaches new opportunities and challenging tasks with a “can-do” attitude  in a fast paced environment.  This person will hold to the FIRST Core Values by providing exceptional customer service to employees, and the FIRST Community.

Reports to: Director, Programs.  This role is located in Manchester, NH

The Details

  • Serve as the administrative contact and liaison for project teams and collaborators to create visibility of projects, workloads and resources
  • Maintain program files and databases
  • Assist both Programs in the planning and execution of small and large-scale events
  • Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams on the World Festival registration
  • Travel (5%) to and work at program events that are assigned to you
  • Support Innovation Awards Manager on judging and other logistics and communications for annual Global Innovation Award
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the execution of event logistics required for on-site services, e.g. food & beverage, production, registration, meeting room assignments, transportation, exhibit services and special events
  • Make travel arrangements and ensure itineraries are properly scheduled and communicated in support of advisory group meeting and annual Challenge Advisory Team meetings
  • Reserve and prepare facilities ensuring that meeting rooms and Audio/Video equipment is ready in advance of the meeting start times
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks associated with work in an office environment
  • Work independently and update the Director on the status of projects on a regular basis

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years directly related experience
  • Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures within Project and Event Management fields
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point)
