The Program Coordinator supports the programmatic needs of the FIRST Tech Challenge Team, in the functional area of creative development of key program media including manuals, training modules and other materials.  This role also assists in the planning, scheduling, and implementing of assigned projects for the FIRST Tech Challenge program and provides general support and coordination of programmatic activities.

Reports to: Manager, Program.  This role is located in Manchester, NH

The Details

  • Maintains program instruction and technical training manuals for the FIRST FTC community
  • Edits text in program instruction and technical training manuals for clarity, accuracy, grammar, consistent terminology, style and ensures is written to a level appropriate for the target audience
  • Ensures continuity of style and content across various media platforms
  • Collaborates with the engineering team on customer feedback and proposes solutions to improve program instruction and technical training manuals
  • Provides technical and non-technical training and support for volunteers
  • Communicates complex and technical program information to non-technical customers
  • Liaising with internal/external clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
  • Completes assigned deliverables in consultation with the Program Manager
  • Responds to team and partner requests for data and materials required for conferences, presentations and local events
  • Provides reports and spreadsheets to program management on a routine basis as needed or requested

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years directly related work experience
  • Experience with spreadsheets and complex data sheets
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Project Management software a plus
  • Approximately 10-15% travel to FIRST Tech Challenge Events as needed to audit and monitor quality aspects of the event, mainly during season (September-April)
