About this Role

We are seeking a collaborative team player with excellent organizational and communication skills, that loves a fast-paced position where the work makes a difference.  The Sourcing Specialist will manage the strategic sourcing of products and services that support the goals and objectives of the organization.  In accordance with established specifications, this person will participate in cross-functional initiatives, provide expertise to functional teams, and provide direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.  This role will align programs and inter-departmental processes and systems to support strategic priorities through the program and organization.

Reports to: Manager, Strategic Sourcing (Programs & Logistics).  This role is located in Manchester, NH

The Details

  • Create and issue Purchase Orders and/or Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) for the required commodities or services.
  • Solicit Request for Proposals (RFP’s) to vendors, negotiate prices and recommend purchases to obtain the best possible prices while adhering to quality, service and reliability standards.
  • Oversee and support program specific material needs and movement.
  • Support all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, planning, scheduling, cost, warehouse, receiving, and shipping.
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory, forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
  • Reconcile material and fulfillment invoices
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to establish supplier contracts that support their strategic sourcing goals and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field plus two to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience shall be considered 
  • Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solving
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Skilled at working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting and must be able to multi-task
  • Experience working with 3PL’s a plus
  • Must be energetic, motivated and committed to FIRST mission and goals
